there was an accident on the highway today. saw it on the way to my grandma's house. the motorbiker died on the spot. and there was a white cloth covering the rider. the bai nian red little bag was flung about 50m away from him? aiya. it's very sad la. cos he was going to bainian! it's supposed to be a happy occasion right. and he met with an accident on the way. i cant imagine how sad his family members would be.

enough with all this fortune cookie philosophy

but this isnt the worst part of the day. i was at my uncle's house just a few hours ago. some of my relatives were gambling away happily when suddenly there were shouts coming from downstairs. my auntie ran out. there was a fire. an apartment on the first floor was on fire. being the kpo singaporeans that we are, we went out along the corridor to take a look. true enough, thick smoke could be seen rising out from that unit. so we went down by the stairs. it was scary. i could see the fire from where we stood for a while. and there were little explosions, like cos of the gas thing. i was really really scared even though i wasnt the one inside. but imagine if you were the person trapped inside. i just hope that there wasnt anybody in the house at that time. i was super scared, i couldnt say anything. i couldnt even open my mouth to say bye to my relatives. maybe it's cos my finger got burnt when i was younger. my cousins and i were playing with candles or something during the lantern festival. and i burnt myself. even though it was very minor, it left a huge impact. i have been quite scared of fire since then. goodness. i cant believe there really was a fire. oh gosh. i'm quite traumatised by the fire thing.

two bad things happened in a day. and i had to see them both. i cant take it.

anyway, on a lighter note, it was good seeing all the 'long-lost' relatives. and some who i really dont know how i am related to. it was good.

who would you choose to be? the one about to be shot? or the one about to do the shooting?
