Got postcards from my former selves, saying, "How you been?"
We might've said good byes just a little soon,
Robbing lips, kissing banks under this moon.

" it was you and me, in a car on a highway- nothing to it, really. we drove, i'm not sure for how long, but the road never seemed to end. there was never an awkward moment between us, which was odd because it had been a long time since we had been close. with the wind in our hair, we screamed classics into the blazing heat, never once stopping to think about who might be listening. the cheap red wine mixed with giddy memories of childhood made that roadtrip unforgettable.

forever never lasts long enough.
